The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, August 23 suggests Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will be stunned to learn Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is dropping the case.
Also coming up, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make a business decision. Plus, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will get some bad news. And Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will look forward to a fresh start.
Y&R spoilers tease Victoria will walk down her staircase and recall her conversation with Billy the night before. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will arrive with coffee. She’ll tell her mother she’s not going to wallow in everything that went down. “I feel free, at least I’m starting to,” she’ll say. Then she’ll prepare to make a public announcement.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Chelsea Is Upset With Billy’s Choice
Meanwhile, Billy will ask Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) if they can pick up their previous conversation. He’s done a lot of thinking about being her COO and the podcast. “I’m walking away from the podcast,” he’ll tell her. Lily will ask if it’s really what he wants or if he thinks it’s what she wants to hear. Billy will admit the podcast was taking up too much time in his life. “This is where I wanna be,” he’ll say. “This is where I belong.”
At the Dive Bar, Chelsea will run into Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). She’ll tell her friend she loves working on the podcast and they’ll chat about their lives. Billy show up and tell Chelsea he’s stepping away from the podcast “to focus on my day job.” He’ll suggest Chelsea should go on with the podcast but she’ll balk. “You’re in a rush to go back to a world in which you recently admitted you don’t belong?” she’ll ask incredulously. However, Billy will tell her the decision’s been made.
At Chancellor Park, Kevin will ask Chance how the DA reacted to all the evidence. “I didn’t do it,” he’ll say. Then he’ll tell Kevin he dropped the case. “Whether or not you pursue this evidence, if it comes to light, it’s going to be really bad. I mean, serious blowback, for both of us.” Kevin will respond. “The truth has a funny way of coming out.” He’ll tell Chance if the case revolved around anyone other than Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) he’d be pursuing it.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Chance Will Leave Him Out To Dry
Then Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will arrive and eavesdrop on their conversation. Chance will tell Kevin he thought it was best not to drag the family through a scandal. “That should have been the DA’s call, not yours,” Kevin will say. “You’re a part of that family, they’re gonna say you’re ignoring the facts.” Chance will thank him for his help but he’ll tell Kevin it’s time to move on.
Finally, Adam will approach Kevin. He’ll say he couldn’t help overhearing. “Sounds like you’ve been left in a hell of a spot.” Adam will remind him Chance is a Newman. “Chance is going to have no problem leaving you out to dry.” But Kevin will say he wouldn’t do that. “I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” Adam will reply. “If you are smart, you will get out in front of this, right now.”
