The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, March 29 reveals Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will announce his engagement to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Also coming up, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will be concerned about his son. Plus, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will share a smooch. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make a scene.
Y&R spoilers tease Danny and Gina Roma (Patty Weaver) will arrive at the gala. They’ll mingle and Gina will notice Daniel Romalotti (Michael Grazaidei) dancing closely with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Danny will later approach his son and say he’s worried he may be returning to old patterns. But Daniel will tell him there’s no reason to be concerned.

Meanwhile, Billy and Chelsea will head to Crimson Lights. They’ll talk about all the progress she’s made and the setbacks she’s encountered. But as she gets up from the table to go upstairs, Billy will ask if he forgot to tell her she looks beautiful. She’ll chuckle and say he did. So, he’ll repeat his words. Then she’ll walk towards him and he’ll kiss her.
In the suite, Jack, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will break up Phyllis and Diane’s fight. Jack will ask what’s going on. “What do you think’s going on?” Phyllis will say. “She’s trying to kill me!” Then Summer will drag Phyllis out of the room. Jack will ask Diane what transpired and she’ll tell him Phyllis lured her up there on the pretext that Kyle was sick. He’ll say maybe they should postpone their announcement. But she won’t hear of it.
Jack and Kyle will head back downstairs and Jack will admit he’s unsettled. “What we just saw was a version of Diane I thought was long gone,” he’ll say. Then Diane will come down and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will hand Kyle his phone, which she found at the bar. There’ll be a message from his mom on it, asking if he’s okay. “I owe you an apology,” Jack will say to Diane “Phyllis led you directly into the lion’s den.”

Upstairs in the suite, Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will tell Phyllis he heard she had quite the altercation with Diane. But she’ll ask him if he held up his end of the bargain. Stark will show her the engagement ring. He’ll ask Phyllis if she’s ready. “Yeah, I’m ready, she’ll reply. “There’s no turning back now.”
Back at the gala, Jack will ask everyone to head to the lounge because he has some fun news to share. Then he’ll announce he’s in love with Diane and they’re engaged. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will promise Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) the relationship will blow up “in spectacular fashion.” Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will tell Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) she’s going to be sick.
Finally, the best reaction will belong to Phyllis. “Whoo! Yes! Yes!” she’ll call out from the staircase. Then she’ll walk towards Jack and Diane. “Let’s hear it for the future Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott,” she’ll say sarcastically. She’ll put her hands together and do a slow clap. But then Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will also start clapping and the whole room will join in.
