The General Hospital (GH) scoop for the week of June 15 hints at a theme based on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) epic romance.
As many viewers are aware, GH has run out of original episodes to air. This is due to a halt in production because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But that doesn’t mean ABC is going to leave fans in the lurch. GH will be airing episodes based on weekly themes.
On Monday, in an episode that first aired on February 7, 2007, Carly and Sonny were entangled in the Metro Court hostage crisis. It was during this trying time that the couple proclaimed their love for one another. And in the midst of all this, Carly saved Robin Scorpio’s (Kimberly McCullough) life.

On Wednesday, Sonny was in critical condition in hospital after being shot. Viewers will see a heartfelt visit from his son Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), in this episode that first aired on September 14, 2015. In the hospital chapel, Carly reads Sonny’s vows and flashes back to their good times and bad.
A month later, surrounded by their friends and family, Sonny and Carly were married in the chapel at General Hospital on Thursday, in this episode was originally broadcast on October 14, 2015. Sonny was still recovering from his gunshot wound and was in a wheelchair as he said his I Do’s to the love of his life.

The week wraps up on Friday, shortly after Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) death. Carly was angry and distraught and lashed out at Sonny for their son’s demise. This episode first aired on October 12, 2016.
